The first thing you’ll want to do is take a bunch of dried gingers and grate them.
This is called gingering.
It’s a technique for adding flavour to food by adding a dry, finely ground substance to the mix, then pressing the mix through a mastic mat or parchment.
Once the mixture has been grated, it can be stored in a sealed jar or jarred bag.
You can use gingered fruit for salad dressing, pickles and even pears.
